Gabrielle Rendek Named New Cranford Social Studies Supervisor

Rendek will replace Judith Podbelski, who is retiring after 17 years in the district.

CRANFORD, NJ – The Cranford School District has announced Gabrielle Rendek will be the new Supervisor of Social Studies and Business Management & Information Systems.

Rendek will replace Judith Podbelski, who is retiring after 36 years in the district.

Rendek started her career as a social studies teacher at Cranford High School and served as a representative on the Intervention and Referral Services Committee, the Data Team, the Faculty Advisory Committee and a teacher mentor.

She has also written curricula for Cranford High School, the Union County Social Studies Curriculum Writing Project and the Rutgers Future Scholars program with the goal of encouraging students to take an active role in their learning.
