CRANFORD, NJ — Meet Honey Bird! He has been chosen as Cranford Patch's Pet Of The Week.
"Honey Bird is a 10 year old male canary lovingly named by my eight-year-old daughter at the time. Honey Bird lost his song and almost all his feathers recently. He suffered from trauma as our family was evacuated from our home on Brookside Place on an early frigid December morning due to a fire next door.

We left our house with our dog and bird. Nothing else! We thought he wasn’t going to make it but several weeks later he started to plump back up with new feather growth. I am happy to report that he has fully recovered and his song fills our house once again. Stronger than ever!"
