Snow Cleanup Rules In Cranford, And When Is More Expected?
More snow is predicted for later this week. See what the National Weather Service is predicting for Cranford.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford officials reminded residents of snow related procedures this weekend as Mother Nature (working closely with Old Man winter?) dropped more than 5 inches of snow in Union County.
There was already snow on the ground from last week's nor'easter.
The police noted in an email:

- Residents should ensure that they do not shovel or snow blow their snow back into the roadway after it has been plowed as this creates a hazardous condition.
- Anyone with a fire hydrant near their property is asked to keep the hydrant clear of snow in the event of an emergency.
When a significant snowfall is expected, residents should move cars off the roadways and into driveways.
Forecasters say the Garden State may be in for more snow later this week, particularly Thursday and Friday. Specifically for Union County, the National Weather Service predicts snow Tuesday and Thursday.

The Township created a snow emergency ordinance that now prohibits parking on the roadway during snow storms. Vehicles left of the roadway will be subject to towing. A map of these routes can be found here.
