Artisanal Taco Restaurant To Open in Cranford This Month

The family from Puebla, Mexico already serves up artisanal recipes at two other locations. Now they're coming to Cranford.

CRANFORD, NJ — For those looking for positive news amid the coronavirus pandemic, here's something in Cranford to "taco" bout.

A new branch of Forlklore Artisanal Taco, a family-owned Mexican restaurant with locations in West Orange and Chatham, will open its third location on July 29 in Cranford.

"We have a lot of customers in the area [who think] our artisanal recipes and preparation is unique," said owner Sergio Capdevielle, whose family brought their recipes from Puebla, Mexico.

Their first restaurants opened in 2016.

The new location, in a store the family just renovated, is at 101 North Ave. West. It will offer takeout with curbside pickup, and delivery through Doordash and Grubhub.

"Because of the current situation we are going to leave the grand opening for later in the year," Capdevielle promised, "with a good fiesta with a lot of people."
