Update Presented On Gateway Project

Hudson River rail tunnels are a lynchpin in the regional transportation network.

It’s called one of the most important infrastructure projects in the United States. The Gateway Program has several major components including new rail tunnels under the Hudson River and the replacement of the 108-year old Portal Drawbridge over the Hackensack River. Tuesday evening the Raritan Valley Rail Coalition sponsored a presentation on the project in the Cranford Community Center. The main speaker was Jerry Zaro, the chairman of the Gateway Development Corporation. Cranford Radio spoke with Zaro after the meeting to get a status update.
