Watch For Slippery Morning In Cranford, Possible Snow Thur: NWS
An ice storm over the weekend caused 18,000 NJ residents to lose power. The National Weather Service warned of 'difficult travel' Tuesday.

CRANFORD, NJ — An ice storm on Presidents Day caused more than 18,000 New Jersey residents to lose power, with forecasters issuing an alert for Cranford and surrounding areas that extended into Tuesday morning.
Tuesday morning
For Cranford and surrounding areas, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory extending into Tuesday morning, warning of "Freezing rain. Ice accumulations of around a tenth of an inch. Difficult travel conditions are possible."

Wednesday through Friday
For later in the week, the NWS issued a hazardous weather outlook saying, "Low pressure will bring another round of wintry weather to the area late Wednesday night into Friday. At this time, accumulating snow changing over to a wintry mix is expected."
