'Be Transparent' Ahead of Reopening, Says East Brunswick Schools
The East Brunswick School District wants parents and guardians to be transparent with COVID-19 diagnosis ahead of reopening on Feb. 4.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — As East Brunswick School District prepares to bring back students in the hybrid program for in-person learning, Superintendent Victor Valeski has asked families to be “transparent” with COVID-19 diagnosis.
In his message to the school community on Tuesday Valeski said, "I am asking every family to be transparent with us. If we all follow published health guidelines, report close contacts and illnesses (by calling or emailing your school nurse) and most importantly stay out of school if anyone in the family is presumed or diagnosed as a positive COVID then our shared commitment to safety is elevated.”
Valeski reiterated the same message at the Board of Education meeting held on Jan 21.
