COVID Vaccine Administered To Staff At East Brunswick Schools

The clinic, held in collaboration with Penn Medicine Princeton Health, was scheduled right before students returned for in-person learning.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Over 80 East Brunswick School District employees were vaccinated recently at a clinic held at Hammarskjold Middle School.

At the last Board of Education meeting, school Superintendent Victor Valeski said the clinic was held in collaboration with Penn Medicine Princeton Health.

“Together, we successfully administered the first dose of the vaccination to over 80 district employees and 50 East Brunswick residents, in under three hours,” said Valeski.

This marks a major step for the district that returned to in-person learning on Monday.

“We are grateful to the Brunswick nurses and those custodians - all who provided logistical support, ensuring a successful clinic,” Valeski said.

The second dose clinic is scheduled for May 5.

Valeski said the clinic was organized in a span of a few days, and every available vaccine was administered.

The superintendent said he received “terrific support” from Danielle A. Ruggiero, Director of Human Resources, Stefani Poedubicky, HR Coordinator, and his secretary and executive assistant.

“And I'm so proud of these ladies. They never hesitate to be on the front lines of anything initiated from my office. And no one could have ever forecasted that we would be in the vaccination business,” he said.
