Dog-Friendly 5K Coming To North Brunswick In September
Run with your well-mannered, leashed canine running partner Sept. 16 at North Brunswick Community Park.

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. – For the third year in a row, Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society will host its Fetch & Pounce 5K run on Saturday, September 16. Runners – and their canines – are invited to hit the pavement to honor animals in need. These are photos from the 5K in past years.
The chip-timed, USATF-certified race will be held – rain or shine – at North Brunswick Community Park, located at 2053 U.S. Highway 130 in North Brunswick. Registration and packet pick-up begins at 7:30 a.m.; race kick-off is at 9 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring their well-mannered, leashed canine running partners. Retractable leashes are prohibited, and participants are required to clean up after their pets.
Registration is $25 and all proceeds will benefit Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society. Participants who register by August 16 will receive a race T-shirt and goodie bag, and prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as the top three fundraisers.

The mission of the Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society is to provide a safe and peaceful haven for homeless, abandoned or abused animals. They help to decrease the number of cats and dogs being destroyed in kill shelters through the work of foster, spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return and education programs.
