East Brunswick Library To Host Talk on American Jewish Craft
East Brunswick resident Jodi Eichler-Levine will talk about her recent book which discusses the American Jewish crafting movement.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Friends of the Library will host a virtual book talk with East Brunswick resident Jodi Eichler-Levine on the American Jewish crafting movement.
Eichler-Levine is Berman Professor of Jewish Civilization and Associate Professor of Religion Studies at Lehigh University.
Her recent book, "Painted Pomegranates and Needlepoint Rabbis, How Jews Craft Resilience and Create Community," discusses the American Jewish crafting movement.

It takes a look at how crafters using various media are “engaged … in honoring and nurturing the fortitude, memory, and community of the Jewish people.”
Her book was selected as one of the 11 best craft books to read by the Crafts Council of the United Kingdom.

Eichler-Levine was a student at Irwin Elementary School.
The virtual talk is scheduled to be held on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
