East Brunswick Man Charged With Stealing From Social Services
Alejandro Urgilez, 33, altered copies of benefits checks and deposited around $12,000 in stolen funds into his bank account, police said.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – A man from East Brunswick was charged with defrauding the Middlesex County Board of Social Services.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and East Brunswick Police Chief Frank Losacco made the announcement Thursday night.
Alejandro Urgilez, 33, of East Brunswick was charged with one count of third-degree theft by deception, one count of third-degree forgery, and one count of third-degree uttering.

According to the police, Urgilez altered copies of benefits checks issued by the Middlesex County Board of Social Services and deposited around $12,000 in stolen funds into his bank account.
Police said Urgilez was charged on Wednesday following an investigation by detective Ryan Tighe of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
