“Robert comes to the township with a wealth of experience in government having worked as the Chief of Staff to former Assemblywoman Nancy Pinkin. Mr. Zuckerman will still maintain a part time position in state government as lead staff to Assemblyman Sterley Stanley,” said Cohen in a media statement.

Zuckerman is a law student at Rutgers Law School and has also served the township in the past as a member of the Alliance for the Prevention of Drug and Alcohol Abuse and as a member of the Zoning Board.

A graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in political science and a minor in planning and public policy, Zuckerman has held several positions in the State legislative offices.

“As we embark on our Redevelopment projects, this experience will be critical to our success,” said Cohen.

Since the pandemic, top of the agenda for East Brunswick will be “working to keep as many businesses in town as possible,” said Cohen.

Zuckerman will serve as the township liaison to the East Brunswick Chamber of Commerce.

“Despite the economic conditions, East Brunswick has seen a significant influx of new businesses. One of the biggest reasons cited by new business owners is the vitality, location, and future redevelopment of our most important business corridor.”
