East Brunswick PD Remind Residents To Lock Doors Through Contest
The "Lock it to Stop it" contest hopes to remind residents to lock home and vehicle doors, to prevent theft.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Police Department has come up with a new and creative way to remind residents to lock their doors.
The police department is hosting the “Lock it to Stop it” contest from June 28 to August 28.
The contest is open to all township residents. To enter the contest, residents need to tell the police department how they are helping in preventing thefts.

Each month, one lucky winner will receive a prize from the police department.
Here's the information residents must provide: Full Name Home Address Email A brief description of how you are helping to prevent thefts/burglaries Entries should be emailed to CRU@ebpd.net, and must be limited to two per month.

The past few months East Brunswick police reported several burglaries from vehicles as a result of unlocked car doors. They hope the contest will help people remember to lock home and vehicle doors.
