East Brunswick Plans Massive Development Project Along Rt. 18
A new bus stop, public parking, a hotel, residential and commercial units, a "Tech Center" and more are planned for this stretch of Rt. 18.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — East Brunswick Twp. is planning to revitalize 44 acres of blighted property along Rt. 18 and turn it into a $500 million mixed-use development.
This is a stretch along Rt. 18 south from Ruth Street to Lake Avenue. While Twp. officials are keeping details close to the vest for now, there are plans in the works to build a new bus stop on that property, as well as public parking plus what East Brunswick calls "significant public open space."
There will also be mixed-used residential and commercial buildings, a hotel, a tech center and on-site medical services facility built there.
