East Brunswick Police Accepting Applications For Junior Academy

The one-week program provides an opportunity for young people in the community to get a better understanding of how the police operate.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Police Department is currently accepting applications for the Virtual Youth Police Academy. This year’s academy is open to those 13 to 17 years of age who live or study in East Brunswick.

The program begins July 12 and concludes July 16. Classes will be held virtually via Zoom each day between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. There is no enrollment fee for the academy.

The one-week program provides an opportunity for young people in the community to get a better understanding of how the police operate.

Officers will make presentations during the program and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Registration is open on the East Brunswick Departments' website. Residents who wish to enroll more than one person, need to complete separate applications for each person.

The police department has a limit of 75 cadets for this program, so early application submission is recommended.

Registrations must be completed by July 5.
