East Brunswick Police Charge Spa Worker With Prostitution
East Brunswick police say they charged a second New Era Spa employee with drug offenses.

East Brunswick police arrested a two workers at a Main Street spa, charging one with prostitution and the other with drug offenses, authorities said.
On Oct. 6, members of East Brunswick’s Investigative Division conducted an undercover operation at the New Era Spa at 11 Main Street because of ongoing quality of life issues there, police said.
Undercover detectives went to the spa and during massages a worker offered to perform sexual acts for additional money, police said in a news release.

When other detectives tried to get into the spa, they realized the door was locked and they had to force it open, police said.
That’s when the employee, Annie Copo, 49, of Jackson Heights, New York, was taken into custody. She was charged with prostitution.

A male worker, Nabil Nasr, 35, of South River, was also arrested. He was charged with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were transported to police headquarters, processed and released, pending court.
