East Brunswick Public Library Celebrates Chinese New Year

This program is sponsored by the Chinese Heritage School of New Jersey.

East Brunswick Public Library rings in "The Year of the Pig" with a special Chinese New Year Celebration at the library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center) on Saturday, February 23 starting at 2:00 pm.

The afternoon features demonstrations of kung fu, the dancing lion puppet, Chinese dancing, and a magic show. Other activities include games, a food sampling, and a calligraphy workshop.

East Brunswick Public Library's Chinese New Year Celebration is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

Established in 2000 as a non-profit organization, the school's mission is to offer Chinese language education to students of any race and ethnic origin, so they can read and understand basic Chinese.
