East Brunswick Seafood Market Opens On Route 18 Corridor
The East Brunswick Seafood & Fish Market is located right next to Mexican restaurant La China Poblana.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Mayor Brad Cohen recently inaugurated a new store on the Route 18 corridor of East Brunswick.
The East Brunswick Seafood & Fish Market is located at Route 18 North and serves the township and surrounding communities. It’s located right next to Mexican restaurant La China Poblana.
“It’s a sign that hopefully we are beginning to see that the pandemic is starting to appear in the rear-view mirror,” said Cohen.

The mayor said it was nice to see Route 18 corridor being recognized as a “great opportunity for expansion and economic growth.”
Members of the East Brunswick Town Council and Chamber of Commerce were also present at the inauguration to show their “support.”

Owner Guillermo Ramirez said that the past 15 days during the “soft opening,” the store received many positive reviews from East Brunswick residents.
“East Brunswick has been our home for a very long time and now we really feel like home now that everyone is coming out to support us. We are very grateful to be here,” said Ramirez.
Councilman Michael Spadafino welcomed the new store on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce.
“Here in East Brunswick and with the Chamber of Commerce especially, we like to think of our businesses as part of our family,” said Spadafino.
“And just like any family when you get a new addition, its with great pleasure and great pride that you like to welcome the new member.”
The Route 18 redevelopment has been Cohen’s ambitious plan for the township. The township plans to revitalize 44 acres of blighted property along Route 18, and turn it into a mixed-use development.
The past few months many new businesses have opened in East Brunswick, signalling much-needed economic revitalization.
