EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Teen Council of the Middlesex County 4-H Youth Development Program is gearing up for fun and frights as it invites you to get in the ‘spirit’ at the annual Haunted House and Haunted Hayride fundraiser.

Join the 4-H teens every Friday and Saturday evening in October from 7 to 10:30 p.m. as they scare up some fun for a good cause at the 4-H Center, located at 645 Cranbury Rd. in East Brunswick.

Along with the Haunted House and Hayride, there will be less spooky activities for younger guests such be Halloween fun themed mini golf. Snacks and Halloween treats will also be available at the 4-H Tiki Hut.

Admission is $5 for each activity or $8 for both activities.

The proceeds will go to fund 4-H's next big event, Project GIFT, in December. For this event, 4-H uses their Halloween funds to purchase an assortment of toys and other presents enabling 200 limited-resource families to visit the 4-H Center to select toys and gifts for their children at no cost.

“Every year, people look forward to this fun, safe, and low-cost attraction that celebrates the scary side of Halloween,” said Freeholder Kenneth Armwood, Chair of the Business Development and Education Committee. “It’s a testament to the creativity of the 4-H teens and their commitment to giving back.”

The 4-H Youth Development Program is part of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County, a unit of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station. 4-H educational programs offer all youth, grades K-13 (one year out of high school), the chance to explore countless opportunities in science, arts, foods, outdoor adventure, and more
