East Brunswick's Sam Mattis Breaks Ivy League Record in Discus
Sam Mattis already qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in discus throwing.

East Brunswick, NJ - East Brunswick's own Sam Mattis set a new Ivy League record for discus throwing on Saturday.
Mattis, a senior at the University of Pennsylvania, threw 221-3 at the Philadelphia College Classic at the University of Pennsylvania Saturday. That's not only an Ivy League record, it's also the fourth best throw in NCAA history and beats the Olympic A Standard, reports NJ.com.
Mattis, who graduated from East Brunswick High School, set the state high school record for discus throwing when he was at East Brunswick High. He's already qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in discus.
