EB Public Library Foundation Hosts Gala For Children's Literacy
"The Foundation is delighted to honor these individuals who have made an impact on our community," said Tracy Fink, Foundation President.

The East Brunswick Public Library Foundation holds its second fundraising gala on Wednesday, October 24 at the Park Chateau Estate. The program runs from 6-9 pm and includes a full cocktail hour, sit down dinner, and elaborate dessert reception. Additionally, the Foundation will honor the following organizations and individuals:
Corporate Partner Award - Provident Bank
For more than 175 years, Provident Bank has served individuals, families, and businesses in the community with personal and business banking services.

Community Impact Award - The Indian Cultural Society of East Brunswick
Established in 1999, the Indian Cultural Society of East Brunswick was formed to showcase cultural awareness, encourage volunteer service, and promote intercultural and intergenerational understanding throughout the community.

Legacy Award - Dr. Michael Kesler
Michael Kesler, Ph.D., a chemical engineering graduate of Massachusets Institute of Technology and New York University, had a distinguished career in the petroleum industry before retiring in 2006. Since retiring, he has written extensively of his and his late wife’s experiences during World War II. He is the organizer of "The Jews Before The Holocaust" program series at the library.
“The Foundation is delighted to honor these individuals who have made an impact on our community.” said Tracy Fink, president of the East Brunswick Library Foundation, "They each appreciate the value and relevance that the library continues to hold in our town."
Proceeds benefit the East Brunswick Public Library Foundation. Established in 2009, the Foundation mobilizes private support to enhance innovative programs and services, while helping the library remain vibrant and responsive in an ever-changing world.
“East Brunswick Public Library is always evolving to better serve our community,” said Library Director Jennifer Podolsky. "The generous work and financial support of the Foundation is an investment in the future of our community.”
The Foundation has provided funding for several projects at the library, ranging from facilities improvements to author visits including Arthur creator Marc Brown and New York Times Best-seller Stephanie Evanovich. In 2018, the group undertook its biggest project, sponsoring the elimination of overdue book fines for children and teenagers.
Tickets are $125 per person, and can be purchased online here or at the East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center). The Foundation’s website features additional information about the event.
