How To Vote In East Brunswick This November
The town clerk released detailed information on registration, mail in ballots and polling locations for residents.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy recently ordered that most residents could vote by mail in the Nov. 3 elections.
On Monday, town clerk Nennette Perry provided more information on the process, saying the Middlesex County Clerk will be mailing ballots out to all registered voters soon.
Residents can mail their ballots back using the US mail in the envelope that comes with the ballot. No postage is required as the envelops have pre-paid postage. “Please remember to sign the ballot where indicated and allow time for the ballot to be received through the mail,” said Perry in her message.

Those who choose to vote by mail can drop off their signed ballot in the secure drop box located at the East Brunswick Municipal Building just outside the entrance to the police department. This area will be video monitored and the County Board of Elections will be picking up ballots daily.
Voters can also drop off their completed ballots at their designated polling stations. Each person needs to drop off their own ballots. In-person voting is also available in East Brunswick. This will be by a paper ballot that is similar to the one received in the mail. “This will be considered a provisional ballot until the Board confirms that you have not already voted by mail. Any voting machine at these locations will only be used for those who have a disability,” informed Perry.

The Middlesex County Board of Elections has said it will mail back ballots if voters have made a mistake. Some common errors are failure to sign the ballot or the signature does not match the one on file with the Board of Elections office. Voters will be given an opportunity to correct these errors, but it must be returned by date mentioned in the letter.
