​ Learn About Complications of Diabetes at Library Program

A recent study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that over ten percent of the United States has diabetes.

Hackensack Meridian Health and East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center) are teaming up to present the online program “Complications of Diabetes” on Tuesday, May 4 at 1:00 pm.

This program is presented by Reema Patel, MD, FACE Medical Director, Joslin Diabetes Center, Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay Medical Center - Old Bridge. She is board certified in diabetes, endocrinology and metabolism, and internal medicine.

A recent study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that over ten percent of the United States has diabetes. Attendees of this program will learn how diabetes affects your body, including your heart, blood vessels, eyes, and kidneys and what you can do to lessen the effects.
