EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Do you want to help a Middlesex County family have a happy holiday? Consider donating to Project GIFT! Since 1997, Middlesex County’s 4-H’s Project GIFT has provided a free day of holiday shopping for over 140 needy families in Middlesex County.
Over 70 4-H teens assist with the fundraising and running of this event. These students also donate many hours of their time throughout the year to help raise funds and plan each aspect of this holiday gathering.
The Project GIFT event itself is not open to the public, but those looking to donate new toys, clothing, games, gift cards and other items for children ages infant to 18 can do so from now until Friday, Dec. 7.

“Project GIFT is an event we’re always proud to host,” said Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios. “For over 20 years, they’ve given families in need a chance to share a special day and celebrate together. The event also offers our 4-H students a chance to learn the values of hard work, selflessness and service to others.”

“I’d like to commend all the members of 4-H for their generosity,” said Freeholder Kenneth Armwood, Chair of the Business Development and Education Committee. “These students have been working all year on projects like the 4-H Haunted House to raise funds for Project GIFT, and it’s a great example of the giving spirit of Middlesex County.”
