New Cat Adoption Center Opens In Milltown July 29

Located at 39 South Main Street in Milltown, Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society is having a grand open house celebration July 29!

MILLTOWN, NJ — If you're a cat lover, here's some nice news: A new cat adoption center is opening up in the area. It's run by Karma Cat + Zen Dog, a North Brunswick-based animal rescue group.

Located at 39 South Main Street in Milltown, the grand opening for the Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society Adoption Center will be Sunday, July 29. This is the rescue organization’s first standalone facility. To celebrate the new space, the open house will be held from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and will feature facility tours, meet and greets with adoptable cats, handmade merchandise, kid-friendly games and more. The event is free of charge.

The 825-square-foot facility is small, but can hold up to 25 cats at one time. It takes in cats from local rescue shelters, such as:

Many new volunteer positions are available, including cleaning, socializing and adoption counseling opportunities. The organization also plans to host public training sessions.
