New FedEx Distribution Center Coming To East Brunswick

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – A massive FedEx warehouse and distribution center will be coming to East Brunswick soon.

At the planning board meeting held Dec. 16, the township granted 39 Edgeboro Road Urban Renewal LLC site plan approval for a 513,240 square-foot warehouse, to be built at the site on 39 Edgeboro Road.

A large part of the work is scheduled to be completed by "the early part of 2021,” East Brunswick Mayor Brad Cohen said in his message to the community.

The nearby Middlesex County Utilities Authority parking lot will now be leased to FedEx for long term for parking. Cohen said this will help in bringing tax revenue to the township.

“Now that it’s going to be used as a parking lot for this (FedEx) building, it’s being converted into taxable property,” said Cohen.

The site for the FedEx warehouse and distribution center is located within the Edgeboro Road Redevelopment Area.
