North Brunswick Lecture On Detecting Teen Drug Use May 9
The program will address the risk factors associated with early drug use, and what parents should look for. Free childcare provided!
NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Next Thursday evening, May 9, North Brunswick police will be hosting a free, interactive presentation on drug and alcohol abuse and any member of the public is invited to attend.
The talk is called "Hidden in Plain Sight," and it will be given on Thursday, May 9 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the North Brunswick Municipal Building, 710 Hermann Road. The program will address the risk factors associated with early drug use and how common household items are used to mask drug detection and drugs.
“We strongly encourage our community to attend this event as the program will provide attendees with a free educational opportunity to make a positive difference in someone’s life relating to substance abuse issues,” said North Brunswick Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director and Municipal Alliance Coordinator Lou Ann Benson.

Refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. The presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. Complimentary childcare will be provided. For childcare, please kindly register to assist with planning purposes by calling (732) 247-0922, ext. 475. No one under 21 will be permitted in the workshop.
The program is sponsored by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Middlesex County Office of Human Services, North Brunswick Township, North Brunswick Municipal Alliance and the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.
