North Brunswick Teen Recruited to Play Rutgers Baseball

Eric Reardon will play for RU next year.

North Brunswick, NJ - Eric Reardon is a standout player for North Brunswick High School’s baseball team, and next year he’ll play at Rutgers University, the school announced Thursday.

Eric begins his senior year of varsity baseball at North Brunswick. In his career at NBHS, he’s accumulated 63 hits, 60 RBIs, 10 home runs and 10 wins on the mound so far.

He led the team in hits (26), RBIs (25), batting average (.406), home runs (7), pitching wins (5) and ERA (1.63) as a junior. Eric was named 2015 Middlesex County Player of the Year by the Home News Tribune and an all-state selection, and holds the school record for career home runs.

Off the field, Eric is a member of the National Honor Society, and says he intends to major in political science at Rutgers. He is the son of Meg and John Reardon, and has a younger brother, Danny. His father works for Rutgers Athletics.
