
John J. Albert died Friday, October 18, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 78.
He was born and raised in the City of New Brunswick before moving to the Township of North Brunswick in 1964 where he and his wife of 51 years raised their family. Mr. Albert enjoyed an illustrious football career.
He graduated from St. Peter's High School in New Brunswick and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He proudly served in the United States Army. He was president of J & B Disposal and Jersey Sanitation, both Middlesex County based garbage firms. His career in waste management spanned three decades before his retirement in the 1980s.
He was a member of the East Brunswick Chamber of Commerce. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick.
He is predeceased by his parents John and Victoria Albert; and by his five sisters - Mary Karvelas, Ann Albert, Rose Marie Drabich, Dorothy Albert and Louise Whitehorn. Surviving are his wife Myrna, his daughter Vickie, his son John, his daughter Wendy and her husband David Pierce and their four children - Nicholas, Victoria, Isabella and Jonathan.
