Photos: East Brunswick Company Celebrates Reading With Students

Students at a New Brunswick school received new books last week, thanks to donations from a nonprofit group and an East Brunswick business.

The book give-away was part of a program in which some 6,250 new books will be donated to area schools and programs, according to a news release.

Last week, representatives from the nonprofit, First Book, and the East Brunswick-based Wipro Ltd., visited Roosevelt School on Livingston Avenue in the city.

Employees from Wipro, a global information technology, consulting and business process services company, read with students and gave each participating student a new book to take home, the news release said.

“The reading celebration and book donation in New Brunswick is part of a year-long partnership between Wipro and First Book,” the news release said. “Together, the consultancy and nonprofit will provide a total of 35,000 books to five communities across the country.”
