Pools Around East Brunswick: Where To Swim This Summer
With summer just around the corner, you may be looking for a place around East Brunswick to take a swim. We've got you covered.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Summer is just around the corner, and you may be planning now to find activities to keep the kids busy — and cool. An obvious summer favorite pastime is spending those hot afternoons at the local pool.
The state recently issued guidance for pools to follow, so they can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic.
So where near East Brunswick can you take a dip? We've compiled this guide of local pools to help you and your family stay cool this summer.

Crystal Spring Family Waterpark: This is the first municipal waterpark in New Jersey and definitely a favorite of residents. The waterpark has a family pool, kiddie pool, lap pool, recreational pool, and more. Park opens May 30 - June 27 on weekends and from June 28 - Aug. 29 daily. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the waterpark will not offer chairs, lockers, grills, or picnic tables during the 2021 season. Expect some more COVID-19 restrictions to be in place.

Raritan Valley YMCA: You already know this but, the Y provides regular swimming lessons to kids. Outdoor swim lessons begin in May. Families and kids can choose their lesson level.
Making Waves Swim School: Another good option for parents who want to make sure kids get reduced screen time this summer. Classes are small and they also offer private lessons. Summer 2021 schedule is Jul 1- Aug . 31.
Willows Swim Club: This is located in Kendall Park South Brunswick. Willows Swim Club is a fun place for family and friends to relax and socialize. This place is a "hidden retreat in the heart of Middlesex County." The Summer 2021 season starts May 29.
The Lake at Cheesequake State Park: There is a beautiful lake inside the park with a beach and swimming area with lifeguards. Swimming is permitted in Hooks Creek Lake from Memorial day weekend through Labor Day weekend while lifeguards are on duty. Visitors will find a beach complex containing changing areas, restrooms, a first-aid station, and a concession offering refreshments, novelties, and beach supplies. We recommend going early in the season; the water may still be chilly but it will be clean and clear.
