Program Examines George Washington’s Business and Finances

"The Business & Financial Affairs of George Washington" is presented by Edward Mendlowitz, CPA. He is Emeritus Partner, WithumSmith+Brown.

George Washington is known as the father of our country, but very few really understand the type of person he was, how he got his wealth or why he was willing to risk everything he had, including his life, by becoming a traitor to the British.

East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center) hosts the online program “The Business & Financial Affairs of George Washington” on Thursday, June 17 at noon. This program is part of the library’s monthly “Take A Business Break” program series.

This program will provide a window into Washington’s business activities; the inheritances he received and oversaw; his keen entrepreneurship, including many instances of his going against the conventional wisdom by being a disrupter; his simultaneous micro and macro management of his affairs and how he applied his keen and extraordinary business acumen to creating the presidency and also the capital city of the United States.
