Robber On Bike Stole Cell Phones In East Brunswick, Cops Say

East Brunswick police said they are searching for the robber who stole cell phones from three bicyclists.

East Brunswick police are searching for the robber who stole cell phones from three bicyclists Thursday evening.

The thief may have been armed with a gun, police said.

Around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, one adult and two juveniles were riding their bikes behind the Pathmark Shopping Center on Racetrack Road, when they were approached by the thief, who was also riding a bicycle.

The victims told police they believed the robber had what may have been a handgun in the waistband of his pants.

The thief stole their cell phones, then rode away on Racetrack Road towards Route 18.

The victims rode their bicycles to a friend’s home and called police.

No one was injured.

The robber was described as a black male who wore a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black shoes, and black jeans. He rode a BMX style bicycle.
