Rt. 18 Water Main Break Snarls Traffic
Breaking: Yet another water main break in East Brunswick, and this one took out one lane on Rt. 18 Tuesday morning.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A water main break in the area of Rt. 18 and Eggers Street Tuesday morning shut down one lane on Rt. 18, making an already congested morning commute in that area even worse.
The right lane of Rt. 18 southbound near Eggers Street is closed for emergency water main break repairs, causing delays. It was still closed as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, East Brunswick police Lt. Sean Goggins said.
Additionally, Eggers Street is closed to westbound traffic between Rt. 18 and Suydam Street, East Brunswick police said.
