Woman Gets Six Years For Death Of East Brunswick Man
The woman admitted she was driving drunk when she blew through a red light at the North Brunswick Walmart, killing an East Brunswick man.

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Paterson woman who police say was driving drunk when she blew through a red light at the North Brunswick Walmart on Rt. 1, hitting another car and killing its driver, was sentenced Thursday to six years in prison.
She must serve 85 percent of that term.
Elizabeth Gomez, 44, of Paterson, will also lose her license for ten years when she is released.

Police say in the early morning hours of September 22, 2018, Gomez, who was intoxicated, was driving a 2007 BMW X3 on Rt. 1 near Fashion Plaza Drive when she ran a red light and crashed into a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu.
The driver of that car, Wen-Fu Lin, 80, of East Brunswick was killed and pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was injured.

Gomez pleaded guilty last December to second-degree vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated.
