The Raritan Valley YMCA is now accepting registrations for its summer swim lesson program for pre-school, youth, teen, and adults. The YMCA is known nationally for its instructional swim program.

Classes begin on Sunday, July 7th at Cook College in New Brunswick. Thirty minute classes are taught from 10am – noon for beginner swimmers with 45-60 minute classes for advanced levels.
Participants will be divided by skill level so that proper instruction is given. Week-day morning lessons are conducted throughout the summer at Crystal Springs Aquatic Center in East Brunswick and afternoon classes, including semi-private lessons, are held at the Y's outdoor teaching pool. Visit the Y or www.raritanvalleyymca.org for program schedules.

The YMCA staff is a team of experienced, trained instructors, including YMCA swim team coaches, professional directors, and competitive swimmers. Using the Y's nationally recognized program, children and adults advance as they build skills and endurnace.

Swimming is more than fun and pleasure. It is a skill that could save your life.
Drowning is the third leading cause of death and second leading cause among children in
the United States, according to the National Safety Council. Two thirds of all drowning
victims cannot swim. The YMCA urges that children begin lessons by the age of 4 and
that all non swimmers take lessons.

For further information about swim classes, fees and locations, call 732-257-4114. For parents needing camp or childcare, the YMCA includes swim programs. You may also visit the Y website at: www.raritanvalleyymca.org.
