221 Graduate from Hanover Park High

The class of 2013 will gift several picnic tables to the generations to come.

A total of 221 young adults made the transition from Hanover Park High School students to alumni Tuesday during the school's 56th commencement ceremony.

Superintendent Carol Grossi and Principal Thomas Callahan both gave speeches to the students, commending them and the rest of the student body on their numerous accomplishments and their generosity of spirit, and of more material goods, to those in need throughout the community and the state of New Jersey.

Valedictorian Thoams Pescatore and Salutatorian Sophia Wang used their speeches to remember the hard work that went into this accomplishment, and those who were there to help and support the students along the way: parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, friends, even, Wang said, pets.
