The Calais Foundation raises $77,000 at 4th Annual Golf Classic

Over 80 golfers participated in 18 holes of golf at Crystal Springs, raising funds for children with special learning needs

The Calais Foundation hosted its fourth Annual Golf Classic in Sussex
County, NJ on Thurs., June 27. Approximately $77,000 was raised to
support programs and resources for children with special needs and their
families. To date, The Calais Foundation has provided grant funding to
hundreds of children with special needs across Northern New Jersey.
Funding has also benefited The Calais School, providing Animal Assisted
Interventions, after school programing, learn n’ earn stipends for
students in the structured learning experience transition program, and
more.

“The 2019 Golf Classic was a huge success this year! The weather was
perfect, the venue was beautiful and the participants had a great time.
Thank you to our amazing volunteers who worked really hard to put the
event together. We couldn’t have done it without you” said Trevor Jones,
Calais Foundation Treasurer.

In addition to 18 holes of scramble golf, participants enjoyed
welcome gifts, raffles, silent auction and variety of competitions.
On-course contests, presented by RTI IMI and T.G. Nickel, included men’s
and women’s longest drive and closest to pin. A cash prize of $10,000
was also up for grabs in the hole in one competition, though no one took
it home this year!
