The Calais School Makes Finals in Basketball Championships
In championship game, The Calais School takes on the undefeated Chancellor Academy

The Calais School basketball team finished a remarkable season with a second place finish this year. The Calais School traveled to Chancellor Academy to take on an undefeated basketball team that was extremely talented. In the most challenging game of the season, the Cougars started the game strong with a 3 pointer to go ahead. The first half was an exhausting back and forth with Calais finishing the half down 32-28 at halftime.
It was an extremely emotional and competitive game with a final score of 64-50, Chancellor Academy. The sportsmanship from both schools was inspiring. The entire Calais community has been cheering on the Cougars throughout this momentous season, their best in recent years. The Cougars returned home enthusiastically greeted by The Calais Spirit Squad who were joined by the school's Executive Director Mr. Lietner and Assistant Principal Mr. Sokolewicz (both with pom pom’s cheering as loud as the spirit squad team) which served as an excellent ending to a very memorable season.
