Choking Infant Saved By Florham Park Police Officer

The child was turning blue when the officer arrived to help.

FLORHAM PARK, NJ — A Florham Park police officer saved the life of a choking baby earlier this month, police said.

A mother called police for help on July 6, when her infant child began to choke. Patrolman Jared Orgel went to the home, and found the mother performing CPR on the baby as the baby began to turn blue.

Orgelgave back blows to the baby to clear the airway; the baby began to breath normally again and regained all color.
