East Hanover Pair Charged In Burglary: Police

Two people were arrested and charged in connection with the burglary.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A Parsippany homeowner sustained minor injuries during a burglary earlier this month, Parsippany police said.

The burglary on Powder Mill Road happened in the early afternoon hours of Nov. 9. Police say Frank Ditaranto, 47, from East Hanover, knocked on the door claiming to be an Uber driver looking for someone who lived at a different address.

About ten minutes later, the homeowner heard footsteps and a door close. The homeowner called out to see if it was her mother, and went to the room when she didn't receive a reply. The door was locked, and when the homeowner said she was going to call police Vicki Izzo, 47, from East Hanover, shouted back telling her not to, police said.
