Camp Counselor From Florham Park Made Child Porn: US Attorney

The Florham Park man, who worked at a Hardwick camp, paid the boy money, $100 in one instance, to send nude photos through an app.

FLORHAM PARK, NJ — A Morris County camp counselor and parochial school teacher admitted to making child pornography, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said on Monday.

Colin M. Skeele, 32, of Florham Park, pleaded guilty to one count of producing child pornography. Skeele, who worked at a boys' camp in Hardwick and at parochial schools in Boonton and Stirling, knew the boy in the images through his camp job, Carpenito said.

Skeele met the boy while working at camp, and added him on Facebook in 2011, Carpenito said. Skeele paid the boy money, $100 in one instance, to send nude photos through the app. At least once, Skeele then sent those nude photos to another underage camper.

The next year, Skeele used an online money transfer service to purchase access to a live stream of a child sex show in the Philippines, Carpenito said.

He faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced in October.

Skeele also pleaded guilty last year to sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy while serving as an EMS captain, New Jersey Herald reported. His sentencing in that case was put on hold, pending the outcome of the federal trial.
