Florham Park Parents, Get Ready for School with Vaccinations
Time is running out before the start of school.

Teachers in the Florham Park School District are already back at work for inservice days, and students will not be far behind.
Florham Park children return to school on Friday, Sept. 6, right after Rosh Hashanah. Before classes start, however, there are a few painful tasks to see to: namely, vaccinations.
New enrollees in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade must have a recent physical exam in the past year with a medical form filled out by a doctor. The medical forms, including athletic forms, are embedded above for Ridgedale Middle School and Brooklake and Briarwood Schools.
Immunization requirements include the DTaP vaccine, the vaccine which protects against diphtheria, tetanus, acellular and pertussis, for students 9 years old or younger. Five years after the last DTaP vaccine students who are in grade 6 must get a Tdap vaccine.
The polio vaccine is another requirement, as are two doses of the vaccine against measles, mumps and rubella. Students should also be vaccinated against haemophilis B hepatitis B, meningococcal and influenza.
