Hanover Park School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Hanover Park is September 6 for freshmen and September 7 for all other grades. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Hanover Park Regional High School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/14: Hanover Park Half Day (Back-to-School Night)
• 9/28: Whippany Park Half Day (Back-to-School Night)
• 9/21: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/9: No School for Students (Teacher In-Service Day)

November

• 11/9 - 11/10: No School for Students (NJEA Convention)
• 11/22: Half Day
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/22: Half Day
• 12/25 - 12/29: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/2: Schools Reopen
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Day)

February

• 2/19: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/21: Last Day of School (Includes 3 Emergency Days)
• 6/22: Whippany Park High School Graduation (6:00 p.m.)
• 6/23: Hanover Park High School Graduation (1:00 p.m.)
