Each week, the teachers and staff at the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA prepare a curriculum that promotes growth and development for children 0-5 years old. The classroom landscape encompasses enhanced health and safety guidelines while providing an enriching learning environment for all students.

Toddler student mom, Alexa Cali of Florham Park, loves the learning environment that Kirby offers its families. “It’s so refreshing to know that she is in good hands, learning and having fun...Kirby provides everything I could ask for and more”. Alexa’s daughter, Scarlett, a student in the Toddler Ladybugs classroom, loves sharing her day with her mom and even “mentions that it’s fun getting her temperature taken every morning”.

The teachers and staff at Kirby have implemented new policies and procedures and work with returning and new families to ease concerns about the introduction, or transition back, into a childcare setting. It’s important for the staff to achieve a sense of normalcy for the students in such an uncertain time.
