Winter break is coming soon for our school-age youth and there are still more fun and safe learning opportunities to be had at the Y! The Madison Area YMCA is excited to offer specialized school-age enrichment opportunities for children in grades K-1 and grades 2-5 from December 28-30. Kids will join us from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Kids Day Out at the Y’s Family Center.

Kids Day Out is a safe, enriching and fun-filled program for your children to enjoy when school is not in session! Kids Day Out provides participants with a day of excitement that includes an array of activities to keep them engaged all day long. Children will build confidence and learn new skills through daily activities such as STEM projects, team-building activities, sports, dance and more, all while staying safe and following current health guidelines.

As a leader in healthy living, the Madison Area YMCA diligently monitors developments surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and communicates with and provides resources to our community. Wellness for all ages has never been more essential to our community than it is now. Following recommendations from the Madison Department of Health and the CDC, and following the Governor’s Executive Orders, we provide a safe and healthy experience for all participants. Kids Day Out includes a variety of enriching program opportunities to meet the varying needs of our community’s youth, especially during this season’s challenging circumstances. For more information or questions, contact Associate Childcare Director Katie Koontz at KKoontz@madisonymca.org. We look forward to seeing our school-age children!
