Open Space, Liquor Licenses Up for Approval

The East Hanover Township Council will hold a public hearing Monday night on an application to Morris County for funds to purchase open space.

The resolution will authorize an application to Morris County to use county Open Space funds to purchase the Butani property along River Road in East Hanover.

If the council passes the resolution and Morris County approves the application, the property will be preserved as open space for the enjoyment of the residents.

Several other resolutions, but no ordinances, are also up for approval. Those resolutions include:

• The renewal of liquor licenses in town for the 2013-14 year
• A contract to Maser Consulting P.A. to provide engineering and consulting engineering services to East Hanover
• A contract to La Guardia & Associates Entertainment for the 2013 Summer Councert Series
• The purchase of an aerial fire fighting ladder under a cooperative contract
• and a resolution endorsing the New Jersey Department of Transportation's reconstruction of the bridge on Route 10 over the Passaic River.
