EAST HANOVER, NJ — A possible threat against an East Hanover school was found to be not credible Tuesday morning, East Hanover police said.

Frank J. Smith School was placed on lock down after a person walked into the East Hanover police department to report a threat, Sgt. John Ambrose told Patch. The school was put on lock down out of an abundance of caution while an investigation took place.

The threat was found to be not credible, and the lock down was lifted. At no point were students or teachers in danger, Ambrose said.
