Learning to swim supports water safety, contributes to fitness and enhances confidence and positive self-image. As the most accessible community resource to prevent drowning, the Y teaches invaluable water safety and swimming skills all year round.

This summer day campers at the Madison Area YMCA’s Quest Camps learned about water safety from Madison Area YMCA Competitive Aquatics Director Jon Siegel. Campers experienced the importance of being safe around water and how learning to swim can be fun through Jon’s enthusiastic presentation and activities.

Many will continue summer swimming into the fall six days a week at the Madison Area YMCA’s partner pools. We are pleased to continue to offer private adult and youth swim lessons for beginner levels and up for Madison Area YMCA members. We also offer Outdoor Lap Swim, Masters Adult Swim Clinics, Aqua Zumba group exercise classes and Mariners Competitive Swim Team. Lifeguards are on duty and health and safety precautions and measures are taken throughout all aquatics offerings. To learn more about our current aquatics programs visit www.madisonareaymca.org/aquatics. To learn more about our Mariners Competitive Swim Team please contact Competitive Aquatics Director Jon Siegel at JSiegel@madisonymca.org. We look forward to seeing you in the pool soon!
