Wegman's, Ice Rink Suggested for Florham Park

We asked, you answered.

East Hanover-Florham Park Patch asked readers what business they thought should come to Florham Park, and we were surprised by the variety in the answers. Whereas East Hanover residents were pretty universal in their demand for a grocery store, Florham Park residents' answers were all over the map — almost literally!

Patch user Doris Parker had several ideas for what businesses she would like to see in the borough, from a sports bar in the former Bennigan's space to "maybe a consignment shop or specialty food/gourmet like Penzey's," she said in a comment on the story.

Lisa Gibbons Scarpa commented on Facebook that she would like to see a Wegman's in the borough. She'll get her wish soon--well, almost. Mack-Cali announced in 2012 they have rented a site to Wegman's along Ridgedale Avenue in Hanover Township.

Anyone willing to renovate and reopen the ice skating rink off of Vreeland Road would have at least one fan. Parker said it was "too bad" the rink was no longer around.
